Nondestructive Crack Test Using Penetrant Chemical Penetrant test plant is based on the principle of applying a special penetrant chemical to the workpieces after pretreatment and observing this chemical to penetrate in to cracks (if there is any) under UV light. It is used for testing precise castings like the ones used in aviation and automotive engines and miscellaneous parts.
