In large-volume booths and on tall parts, safe operator access is an engineering topic in its own right. Where access is not solved, either quality suffers or safety is compromised.
How the process works
In-booth lifts can move in synchrony with the conveyor while raising the operator to the height of the part, so work continues without stopping the line. This synchronisation is part of the automation architecture.
Fall protection, guardrail height and platform openings are dimensioned to the applicable health and safety legislation. The design also ensures the platform does not disturb airflow inside the booth.
