In aerospace what matters is not volume but traceability. Which bath each part passed through, with which parameters and by whom, must be on record; if there is no record, the part does not exist.
Process requirements of the sector
Particle control is part of product acceptance. Coating and assembly are carried out in a defined cleanliness class, which makes HEPA-filtered, pressure-cascaded booths mandatory.
Penetrant testing (PT) is a routine step in series acceptance. The test line itself is verified periodically: UV intensity and booth illuminance are measured and recorded.
Process changes are not free in aerospace. Altering a parameter of an approved process requires requalification, so the line must be configured correctly from the outset.
